There’s a month to go until the closing date, and so far we have three entries, but of course we’d like lots more. As those of you who came to the 2019 Festival will remember, we had a ball! And this year we have 2020’s no-show to make up for, so it’ll be an even bigger ball – or at least, it will be if you join in.
If you don’t have any ideas for a production yet, here are some suggestions for places you can look at ideas for scripts:
- Stage Scripts
- Lazy Bee Scripts
- Nick Herne Books
- Winners of British one-act plays
- Winners of Welsh one-act plays
Chris also has some suggestions when it comes to authors:
You could also try “Googling” some authors whose plays are popular at drama festivals such as David Tristram, Richard James, Nick Warburton, Caryl Churchill, Edward Albee, John Godber, to name but a few. For youth groups you could try National Theatre Connections.
Entries being accepted up until 31st May 2021, and all you need to do is complete an entry from and return it to us. Entry packs are available (as ZIP files) or as individual files via our Downloads page. We have given you a choice of DOCX or PDF format, depending on your needs.
We hope a few more of you out there are able to join us celebrate the return of one-act theatre in 2021!
